NVIDIA Expands AI Applications in Cities
NVIDIA and partners are deploying physical and agentic AI to enhance urban services and infrastructure planning.

What happened
Cities are struggling to convert data from cameras, sensors, and operational systems into actionable insights for planning, maintenance, and public services. NVIDIA and its partners are addressing this challenge by expanding physical AI and agentic AI across cities globally, building on initiatives introduced at GTC Berlin.
Shared computing infrastructure allows city departments, neighboring municipalities, and local developers to collaborate on building services without acquiring and managing their own resources. This approach enables cities to improve the speed and responsiveness of public services without requiring a large infrastructure investment.
Why it matters
The integration of physical and agentic AI helps cities bridge the gap between data collection and actionable insights. Digital twins are highlighted as a method for expediting infrastructure planning and providing real-time operational simulations, which can significantly enhance urban management.
Key details
In Spain, 1MillionBot combines open-source ALIA models with NVIDIA Nemotron and other models to support resident-service agents in Madrid Digital, Administració Oberta de Catalunya, and over 150 deployments across Spain. The project includes 1 million deployments and spans 150 locations.
In the San Francisco Bay Area, LiveX is implementing its AI City vision using NVIDIA Cosmos world models, Nemotron open models, and libraries from Omniverse and Metropolis on NVIDIA RTX PRO GPUs.
